This pond is in the center of the main entertaining space. The entire home renovation is built around this incredible infinity overflow pond. It started during the foundation of the renovation, poured with the slab of the extension.
All the plumbing for the pond runs through the concrete foundations and out to the external wall of the house.
To achieve the infinity overflow effect, the water flows over the sides and into a trough that drains outside to the filtration and pumping systems.
Two 600mm drainage pits capture the overflowing water from the trough inside.
Two very substantial pool pumps run the filtration and infinity overflow. These two systems can be run independantly allowing the overflow noise to be reduced or turned off while the filtration still operates.
Similar to the pond in the front, our filtration consists of a custom built fluidized media chamber, UV, Auto Top off and a twin pump system.
The decking hides the drainage pits below which house the Auto Top off.
The finished product to this day is one of the most unique and impressive projects we have had the pleasure of working on.
