Coral Essentials Coral Power Boron Solution is a concentrated boron supplement (50,000 ppm) designed to support coral skeletal development and overall reef stability. In natural seawater, boron levels typically range between 4–5 ppm, making it an important trace element to maintain in marine aquariums.
Boron plays a role in coral skeleton formation, co-precipitating with calcium carbonate during growth. It also contributes to minor pH buffering, helping support a stable environment for coral health and biological processes within the aquarium.
In active reef systems, boron can be gradually depleted over time. Regular supplementation helps maintain consistent levels, particularly in SPS-dominant systems where demand is higher.
For advanced reef keepers, routine testing is recommended to determine your system’s boron uptake. By tracking depletion rates, dosing can be tailored to maintain optimal levels and long-term stability.
Dosage Guide:
Start with 1 drop daily per 100L of aquarium water, gradually increasing to 2 drops daily per 100L over time depending on system demand. Do not exceed 3 drops daily per 100L in heavily stocked systems.
Advanced Dosing:
- 0.1 ml (2 drops) will raise boron levels by approximately 0.05 ppm per 100L
