Coral Essentials Coral Power Strontium is a concentrated strontium supplement (50,000 ppm) designed to support coral skeletal development, growth, and long-term reef stability. Strontium is naturally present in seawater at approximately 8–10 ppm, and maintaining levels within the recommended 5–15 ppm range is essential for optimal coral health.
When strontium levels fall below this range, particularly under 5 ppm, coral growth may be negatively affected. In active reef systems, strontium is continuously consumed, making regular supplementation important to maintain stability and support both SPS and LPS coral development.
For advanced reef keepers, regular testing is recommended to determine your system’s strontium uptake. By tracking depletion rates, dosing can be accurately adjusted to match your aquarium’s consumption, ensuring consistent and optimal conditions.
Dosage Guide:
Start with 1 drop (0.05 ml) daily per 100L of aquarium water. Adjust dosing based on your system’s needs, coral density, and test results.
Advanced Dosing:
- 1 ml will raise strontium by approximately 0.5 ppm per 100L
- 2 drops (0.1 ml) will raise strontium by approximately 0.05 ppm per 100L
