Coral Essentials Coral Power Potassium is a concentrated potassium supplement (100,000 ppm as potassium chloride) designed to support coral growth, colouration, and overall reef stability. Potassium is a fundamental element in marine aquariums, playing a vital role in both coral skeletal formation and cellular processes.
Maintaining potassium levels within the recommended range of 380–450 ppm helps promote enhanced red and pink colouration, improved vitality in both SPS and soft corals, and stronger exoskeleton development. Potassium is also essential for zooxanthellae function, contributing to glucose production through photosynthesis and supporting overall coral energy balance.
In active reef systems, potassium can be gradually depleted, making consistent supplementation important to maintain optimal conditions and coral health.
Dosage Guide:
Start with 1 drop daily per 100L of aquarium water. Adjust dosing based on your system’s requirements, coral density, and testing results. Do not exceed 2 drops daily per 100L in heavily stocked systems.
Advanced Dosing:
- 0.1 ml (2 drops) will raise potassium levels by approximately 0.1 ppm per 100L
