Innovative Designs

Going from the top of the Reefer system down to the bottom, the first thing you will notice is the crystal clear glass and elegant beveled edges. The second thing you may or may not notice is the slim overflow that houses all the drain and return plumbing to keep the water a constant level within the display tank and surface skimming while being super quiet and taking up a very small amount of real estate inside of the tank. The return nozzle is fully adjustable for to direct the flow where you need it, and the dual drain system keeps overflows from happening like a single drain design may encounter. The dual drain design has one main drain that includes a diaphragm valve for easy tuning and adjustments. The other drain is completely open to flow directly down into the sump in the event that the main drain gets clogged. If plumbing is one of the reasons why you have never wanted to install a tank with a sump don’t worry as Red Sea has done all the planning for you and there is no gluing needed to assemble and seal all the plumbing.

Filtration

The sump includes a filter sock holder and sock to keep large pieces of debris and detritus from clogging pumps and other pieces of equipment. The water can then flow from the filter sock into the skimmer compartment where the water will keep a steady level to aid in the best performance in your choice of skimmer or any other filtration components that you choose to include can be placed there. The water will then flow through the final bubble trap and into the final chamber where the return pump (not included) can be placed to pump water back through the Reefer tanks return plumbing.

Red Sea ReefATO+ System

The ReefATO+ is designed to maintain a stable salinity and water volume in a reef aquarium by automatically replenishing the water lost due to evaporation. In addition, the ReefATO+ provides two other critical aquarium health indicators: a fully featured on-line digital temperature monitor and a leak detector.

Rimless ultra-clear glass

REEFER G2+ aquariums are rimless, and constructed from ultra-clear, beveled-edge glass with increased thickness of up to 19 mm or 0.75”.

Dual return pump outlets and surface skimmer

All REEFER 350 G2+ models and bigger now have dual side-facing return pump outlets, creating an even better water distribution. The piping is hidden inside a large central overflow box, which has a large surface skimmer with removable comb parts, for easy cleaning.

Silent downflow system

The enlarged rectangular inlet to the downflow pipe (on models up to REEFER 625) reduces turbulence, making it easier to regulate.

Assembly-ready piping with ghi precisiom valve

All pipes are preformed with quick connectors at all joints (no gluing required). Bulkhead connectors suitable for both Metric and USA standard pipes can be purchased separately, allowing you to customize your sump piping. All models now have a new and improved high precision valve on the downflow pipe, allowing for easy regulation of the flow and a near silent operation.

Professional REEF-SPEC sump

The professional sump includes a removable mechanical filtration media compartment (with micron filters & filter cups), an optional refugium compartment, an adjustable height skimmer chamber for optimal skimmer performance, and a bubble trap to prevent air bubbles from returning to the aquarium.

ReefMat-ready

The easily removable mechanical filtration compartment allows for a quick Plug & Play installation of the ReefMat 500/1200.

ReefATO+

All REEFER G2+ models come with the state-of-the-art ReefATO+, which keeps your water volume and salinity stable, and includes an accurate temperature monitor as well as a highly sensitive leak detector. *Reservoir not included.
