AquaIllumination Blade Hybrid Mount Kit

The AquaIllumination Blade Hybrid Mount Kit is designed to combine AI Blade LED lights with existing AquaIllumination Hydra or EcoTech Marine Radion fixtures, creating a clean multi-light reef setup with broader coverage and improved colour distribution.

It allows you to add Blade fixtures alongside your main pendant lights to help reduce shadowing, increase usable PAR and add extra colour or fluorescence without replacing your existing lighting system.

It allows two Blade fixtures to be positioned alongside the main light, helping create a wider and more evenly distributed lighting field.

Ideal for Reducing Shadows

Pendant-style reef lights can create strong output directly beneath the fixture but may also produce shadowing around coral colonies and rockwork.

Adding Blade lights alongside your existing fixture helps fill in these darker areas, providing more even illumination across the aquarium and improving side-lighting around corals.

Increase PAR Without Creating Harsh Hot Spots

The long, linear design of the Blade spreads additional light across a wider area compared with simply adding another point-source fixture.

This can help increase overall PAR and coverage while reducing the risk of creating extremely bright concentrated areas directly beneath the main light.

Recommended Mounting

For added stability, especially when using longer Blade fixtures, one Hybrid Mount Kit per main LED fixture is recommended.

For example, a setup using two Radion XR30 fixtures would typically use two Blade Hybrid Mount Kits.

The system can be paired with mounting solutions such as:

• RMS track and hanging systems
• AquaIllumination light mounts
• HMS Multi Light Track and Hanging Kit

Not compatible with the HMS 2-Arm Kit.
