Reef S2 Tank

The CADE Reef S2 is a rimless, open-top aquarium built from ultra-clear Opti-Clear glass and bonded with premium German Wacker silicone. A laser-etched CADE logo confirms authenticity and craftsmanship. All S2 tanks measure 600mm high and 700mm wide, including a 100mm integrated Backdrop Water Management System.

This rear system features a laminated black glass background and houses the dual-intake weir, offering both surface and low-level intakes for superior debris removal and built-in safety redundancy. Water drains silently via a main downflow and emergency overflow pipe, with adjustable display water height through a fine-tuning gate valve. The flip-top weir cover provides cable access and a convenient place to conceal a heater.

The remaining rear section forms a large ATO reservoir with a float-valve connection to the sump, flip-top refill access, and a water level indicator. A pre-painted white base glass enhances bare-bottom or minimal-sand setups.

Reef S2 Cabinet

CADE Reef S2 cabinets arrive fully assembled and are built entirely from waterproof aluminium, glass, and industrial plastics, ensuring lifelong durability in saltwater environments. Powder-coated finishes, hidden magnetic latches, and front/side door access create a clean, modern look.

The right-side compartment houses a Controller Management Area with accessible power switches and, on models PR2-900 and above, a dedicated chiller/accessories bay with an additional shelf and cable management. The left-side door provides full access to the sump. Cabinets include foam padding and adjustable caster feet for easy levelling.

Filtration & Plumbing

The S2 sump is designed for maximum versatility, featuring filter socks, a skimmer/reactor chamber, bio/chemical media chamber, return pump chamber with ATO float valve, and removable 10×10×20cm media baskets. Larger models include a removable refugium chamber.

CADE’s pre-fabricated plumbing installs in minutes with no silicone required. Dual drains ensure silent operation, and the concealed 1" return line feeds back into the tank through an adjustable outlet.
