Coral Essentials Coral Power Iron is a concentrated iron supplement (13,150 ppm) designed to support zooxanthellae photosynthesis, coral colouration, and biological processes within marine aquariums. Iron is a critical trace element that enhances green pigmentation in corals, promotes healthy macroalgae growth, and plays a key role in bacterial metabolism and enzyme function.
In reef systems with high bacterial activity or rapid nutrient uptake, iron can become quickly depleted. Regular supplementation helps maintain a balanced environment, supporting SPS coral health, stable zooxanthellae populations, and efficient biological filtration.
Coral Power Iron is ideal for reef keepers looking to fine-tune trace element levels and improve overall system performance, particularly in nutrient-controlled or bacteria-driven systems.
Dosage Guide:
Start with 1 drop daily per 100L of aquarium water. If your system responds well, gradually increase to 2 drops daily per 100L over time, depending on coral density and system demand. Do not exceed 2 drops daily per 100L in heavily stocked systems.
Advanced Dosing:
- 0.1 ml (2 drops) will raise iron levels by approximately 0.01315 ppm per 100L
This allows precise dosing based on your system’s iron consumption and testing results.
