Solar Blue Spectrum

The Hydra Edge 68HD uses AI’s Solar Blue spectrum, combining blue, royal blue, violet, UV and white LEDs to create a reef-focused output designed around coral photosynthesis, colour and fluorescence.

The wide range of controllable channels allows the aquarium to be tuned from a deep actinic appearance through to a brighter, more natural daylight look.

EdgeField Optics

AI’s EdgeField Optics are designed to create a wide, uniform lighting field with strong colour mixing.

The approximately 100° optical spread helps reduce concentrated hotspots and harsh shadowing, providing more balanced illumination across coral colonies and aquascaping.

At around 9 inches above the aquarium, the fixture can provide an effective spread of up to approximately 30" × 30", depending on the aquarium layout, depth and desired PAR.

Solar Ring Shimmer

The integrated Solar Ring creates concentrated shimmer and caustic effects that mimic the appearance of natural sunlight moving across a reef.

This gives the aquarium a more dynamic appearance while the surrounding LED array provides the broader light coverage.

HyperDrive Technology

AI’s HyperDrive system dynamically manages available power between LED channels.

When some channels are operated below their maximum output, available power can be redirected to channels that are being driven harder, giving reef keepers more flexibility when fine-tuning their preferred spectrum.

Smart Control

The Hydra Edge 68HD can be controlled through the Mobius app or myAI app, allowing you to customise:
