Aquasonic Marine Oodonex is a copper-based marine fish medication designed to assist in the treatment of marine white spot (Cryptocaryon) and Oodinium / marine velvet in saltwater aquarium fish.

It is intended for fish-only marine systems or quarantine tanks and should not be used with corals or invertebrates.

Key Features

  • Helps treat marine white spot
  • Helps treat Oodinium / marine velvet
  • Designed for saltwater aquarium fish
  • Copper-based treatment
  • Suitable for fish-only marine systems
  • Useful in quarantine and hospital tanks
  • Available in multiple sizes
  • Straightforward 4-day treatment course

How It Works

Oodonex uses copper-based active ingredients to target external marine parasites during their susceptible stages in the water.

Because copper can be harmful to many invertebrates, the treatment is best used in a dedicated fish-only or quarantine system where copper levels can be monitored accurately.

Dosage

Use:

3 mL per 50 litres of aquarium water daily for 4 consecutive days

For more even distribution, the daily dose may be split between morning and evening.

Important Treatment Information

  • Do not use with corals or invertebrates
  • Remove activated carbon and other chemical filtration during treatment
  • Monitor copper levels throughout the treatment period
  • Maintain copper at approximately 0.25 ppm or below
  • Maintain aquarium pH at 7.8 or above
  • Provide good aeration during treatment
  • Avoid using in reef aquariums

Ideal For

Aquasonic Marine Oodonex can be used where marine fish are showing symptoms associated with external parasites, including:

  • White spots
  • Rapid breathing
  • Flashing or scratching
  • Excess mucus
  • Fine dusty or velvet-like coating
  • Reduced activity or appetite

The Aquasonic Marine Oodonex treatment is a practical option for marine aquarists managing white spot or velvet outbreaks in fish-only or quarantine systems.
