Blue Planet Tri Sulfa Tablets are a broad-spectrum sulfonamide medication designed to help control white spot, mouth and body fungus, fin and tail rot, and other external bacterial diseases in ornamental freshwater and saltwater fish.

They are a practical treatment option for aquarists dealing with mixed external infections or when symptoms may involve both parasitic and bacterial problems.

Active Ingredients

Each tablet contains:

  • 154.7 mg Sulfadimidine
  • 153.5 mg Sulfadiazine
  • 154.1 mg Sulfamerazine

Dosage

For standard treatment:

Dose 1 tablet per 40 litres of aquarium water.

For severe infestations:

Dose 1 tablet per 20 litres of aquarium water.

If required, treatment may be repeated after 3 days.

Treatment Directions

For best results:

  • Pre-dissolve the tablet in a disposable cup of aquarium water before adding it to the tank
  • Remove activated carbon and other chemical filtration during treatment
  • Reduce flow through under-gravel filtration if used
  • Maintain good aeration
  • Use a separate hospital or quarantine tank where practical
  • Do not overdose
  • Monitor fish closely throughout treatment

Important Information

Prolonged treatment may affect beneficial bacteria in the biological filter, so a separate treatment tank is preferred where possible.

Use with caution around sensitive fish and invertebrates.

Do not use on fish intended for human consumption.
