Fritz Algae Clean Out is a concentrated, copper-free algaecide designed to control string algae, blanketweed and green water caused by free-floating single-celled algae.

Suitable for freshwater and saltwater aquariums, fountains and small ponds, it is formulated to target nuisance algae without affecting biological filtration or altering pH when used as directed.

Dosage

Use:

  • 6 drops per 37.85 litres / 10 US gallons
  • 2.5 mL per 114 litres / 30 US gallons
  • 5 mL per 227 litres / 60 US gallons

Repeat the dose every 3 days until the algae is under control.

Directions for Best Results

For best performance:

  • Add to a sump or high-flow area
  • Manually remove as much algae as possible before treatment
  • Remove dead or loosened algae after treatment
  • Perform a water change 1–2 days after treatment
  • Reduce or switch off aquarium lighting where practical
  • Monitor ammonia, nitrite and phosphate as dying algae can release nutrients back into the water

Important Information

Do not use with freshwater invertebrates, including:

  • Shrimp
  • Snails
  • Clams
  • Other crustaceans
  • Molluscs

Remove these animals before dosing.

No special equipment shutdown is required during treatment, and the product can be used alongside other Fritz products and medications when used according to label directions.

If an overdose occurs, monitor livestock closely and perform small water changes if signs of stress appear.
